Car transport between mainland Spain, the Canary Islands and the Balearics
From any city on the mainland to the Canary Islands or the Balearics, and back. It's the route we're asked for most by people who move, sell or buy a car on the other side.
WhatsApp opens with your route already written. You decide whether to send it.

From the mainland to the islands
We collect the car in your city or you leave it at the port: Huelva or Cádiz if it's going to the Canary Islands, Barcelona if it's going to the Balearics. It crosses by ferry and we deliver it on the island you choose.
From the islands to the mainland
We collect it on any island in the Canaries or the Balearics and deliver it to your destination address or at the arrival port.
The Canary Islands and the Balearics are not the same
There are no customs between the mainland and the Balearics. The Canary Islands, however, are outside the VAT area: the car needs a customs declaration when entering or leaving the islands. We explain it in our guides.

Door to door or at the port
Door to door
We collect the car from the address you give us and deliver it to the destination address. You don't need to go to the port or travel with it.
At the port
You drop the car off at the departure port and pick it up at the arrival port. It is usually cheaper if you live close to both ports.
What you need for the transport
- The vehicle's technical data sheet (ficha técnica) with a valid ITV inspection.
- The registration certificate (permiso de circulación).
- Valid vehicle insurance.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the origin, the destination island, the service and the type of vehicle. As a guide, transport of small vehicles between the Canary Islands and mainland Spain starts from €600.

Which cities on the mainland do you collect from?
If you choose door to door, enter the city in the planner and we'll confirm the collection.
Is there customs paperwork to take a car to the Canary Islands?
Yes. When entering the Canary Islands an entry declaration is filed and IGIC is paid, unless an exemption applies (for example, for a change of residence). There is no customs formality between the Balearics and the mainland.
Do I have to change the number plate?
No. The car keeps its Spanish plate. If you change residence, it's a good idea to update the address with the DGT.
